What is a Podcast?

A digital recording that can be created using your computer or downloaded from the internet. These recordings can be listened to on a computer and/or downloaded to an MP3 player such as an iPod for listening.

What do you need to create a podcast?
  • computer
  • external microphone that connects to computer (optional)
  • podcasting software such as Garageband, Audacity (Free)http://audacity.sourceforge.net/, & Jing.
  • Web 2.0 tools - Podomatic.com; Odeo.com; Yodio.com (uses your cell phone); AudioPal
  • iPad Apps - GarageBand, Audioboo, iTalk (interviews); iNote(?)
